SI/AI (Super Intelligence / Artificial Intelligence) Training

Beyond the Basic SI/AI Course

MARADMIN 214/26 makes the Marine Corps' 45-minute Basic AI Course mandatory for every Active and Reserve Marine by 31 Dec 2026. It's a solid foundation. Here's what it covers, what it doesn't, and where FAMT self-paced SI/AI training picks up.

The Basic AI Course Is a Good Start

MARADMIN 214/26 (7 May 2026) directs every Active and Reserve Marine to complete a free, 45-minute Basic AI Course on MCeLE by 31 Dec 2026. It's a one-time requirement. The MARADMIN is explicit that it "does not constitute an annual training requirement." The Marine Corps built it, hosts it, and owns it. Intermediate and Advanced follow-on courses are in development for FY27.

That's the right move. A force-wide baseline of SI/AI awareness, delivered free and fast, is exactly what a service this size needs before anything more advanced makes sense. FTCG isn't competing with it, and we're not reselling it. We respect what it does and we're not in the business of duplicating government-built, government-owned training.

What the Basic AI Course Doesn't Do

Forty-five minutes builds awareness. It doesn't build hands-on capability. There's no guided practice writing a real prompt, no exercise building a document your command actually needs, and no mapping of SI/AI concepts to the doctrine Marines already know. That's a different, deeper kind of training, and it's where FAMT picks up.

Where FAMT Picks Up

Fundamentals of SI/AI Marksmanship Training (FAMT) self-paced is the next step after awareness: the hands-on reps that turn "I know what SI/AI is" into "I can use it for my job."

Hands-On Prompting

Simple to advanced prompt engineering with the RGCOA framework, built for the work Marines and government employees actually do, not generic examples.

Context Engineering

How context drives output, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agent fundamentals, taught through frameworks your team already knows: SMEAC, OODA loops, and Commander's Intent.

26 Practical Exercises

Guided walkthroughs that build real staff work: a military award, an S3 operations brief, a unit policy, promotion board prep, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

01

Does FAMT replace the Marine Corps Basic AI Course?

No. The Basic AI Course (MARADMIN 214/26) is mandatory, free, and built by the Marine Corps. Every Active and Reserve Marine must complete it by 31 Dec 2026 on MCeLE. FAMT is a separate, optional program from FTCG that picks up where the Basic AI Course leaves off: hands-on prompting, context engineering, and practical exercises built on real staff work.

02

Do I need to finish the Basic AI Course before starting FAMT?

No, but it's a logical sequence. The Basic AI Course establishes baseline SI/AI awareness in 45 minutes. FAMT builds the hands-on capability most people need to actually use SI/AI in their job: 8 learning paths, 115 lessons, and 26 practical exercises.

03

Is FTCG affiliated with the Marine Corps or MARADMIN 214/26?

No. FTCG is an independent, SDVOSB-certified training provider. MARADMIN 214/26 names only the government's own Basic AI Course. It does not name or endorse any commercial vendor, including FTCG.

04

How do we buy FAMT self-paced access?

Individual access keys run $295 per year for military, veterans, and government, verified with a .mil or .gov email or a veteran discount code, or $500 per year commercial. Units can buy a Squad Pack (50 keys, $14,750, under the GPC micro-purchase threshold), Platoon Pack (100 keys, $24,900), or Company Pack (2,000 keys, $348,000). See the full package list on the Self-Paced Training page.

05

What's actually different between the two courses?

Length and depth. The Basic AI Course is a 45-minute awareness module. FAMT is 9+ hours of video, 115 lessons across 8 learning paths, and 26 hands-on exercises, mapped to military doctrine like SMEAC, OODA loops, and Commander's Intent, with a 4.76/5 CSAT and +93 NPS from the people who have taken it.

Finished the Basic AI Course? Keep Going

4.76/5 CSAT, +93 NPS, and 1,400+ military and government personnel trained. Give your people the hands-on SI/AI skills the Basic AI Course doesn't cover.
